Karen Bairley Kruger is a School Counselor and self-employed Property Manager who has been consumed over the past ten years finding humor in small details while raising four children. Having lived and worked in France and Japan, she is an avid Franco- and Japanophile. She has worked in both the Hawaii and San Francisco School Districts and has more recently served as Membership Chair, Treasurer and Photographer at her kids’ neighborhood cooperative preschool. Karen is a dedicated public school parent who would like to see more opportunities provided for disadvantaged students who are highly motivated in their educational pursuits. She is an advocate for adoptive families and is passionate about improving the welfare of children in third world orphanages. Karen holds a B.A. in Psychology from The College of William and Mary and an M.S. in School Counseling from San Francisco State University. She has lived in San Francisco for the past 16 years and is grateful to be raising a family in one of the world’s most culturally diverse and progressive cities.
