Kanta Kapur

Kanta Kapur is an accomplished finance professional. She graduated from the third class of the Delhi School of Economics where she received an MA in Economics and was one of three women in the class. She then worked at the National Council of Applied Economic Research in New Delhi, India. She was tapped to lead a development economics project in southern India for Professor V. V. Ramanadham when marriage and a move to the United States intervened. After raising three children and helping her husband establish his medical practice, she received an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology. For about 15 years, she was a licensed broker working in a number of financial firms in Rochester, NY. For the last 20 years, she has volunteered her time preparing taxes for seniors and those in need at the local library.
