Hadia Ghandour is passionate about bringing cross-cultural understanding and trust to diverse groups in the community, especially in a post 9/11 world. She has created and run several Arabic, Palestinian, and Muslim cultural festivals and film series in the Columbia, SC, area. Hadia’s roles have included designing, managing, marketing, and contracting for films, venues, and vendors, as well as facilitating discussions. Her motivation is to create a more tolerant environment for her three children whom she is busy raising. Most recently, Hadia has come back from a year with them in Lebanon looking after her aging father. Previously, she was responsible for the architecture, project management, technical design, and implementation of large computer systems in several industries, including government, logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, banking, and computer hardware. Hadia has lived and worked in several countries and speaks English, Arabic, French, as well as Spanish. She has a BSc in Chemistry and Computer Science from Southampton University, England, and an MBA from the University of South Carolina.
