Dr. Asha Collins leads the U.S. Clinical Trial Sourcing business at McKesson Corporation, one of the largest healthcare organizations in North America. In this position, she manages a team that strategically sources commercial products for research and clinical trial studies. Previously, she was in McKesson’s enterprise strategy group where she helped define strategies that addressed issues at the intersection of biopharma, payers, pharmacies, providers, and patients. Prior to McKesson, Asha focused on leading biopharmaceutical companies through strategic change at Quintiles Consulting. Asha demonstrates her passion for community and social engagement through involvement with Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), as well as her work with an East-West team improving healthcare access in East Africa. Her work with HBA San Francisco goes back to 2012 when she first got involved with Volunteer Engagement. She is currently on HBA’s Board, as Co-Director of the Volunteer Engagement Committee. Asha earned a PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BSc in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh. She lives in the East Bay with her husband and their adorable French bulldog.
