Heidi Brooks

Heidi is COO of the Schott Foundation for Public Education, a Cambridge-based national foundation dedicated to achieving fully resourced, quality Pre-K to Grade 12 public education. She has eight years of leadership experience in corporate philanthropy at John Hancock and Citizens Bank. Before business school, Heidi worked in fifteen countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America managing, designing, and auditing programs for the World Bank, Africare, Catholic Relief Services, and the Asian Development Bank. Heidi holds a BA from the University of South Carolina, an MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She has been active with a number of nonprofits and foundations. Heidi’s current leadership roles include chairing the Board of Economic Mobility Pathways (formerly Crittenton Women’s Union), serving on the Program Committee of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation, and until recently Co-Chair of the Membership Committee of Associated Grantmakers.
