Kellee Joost is a managing director at Golden Seeds, an investment firm and angel network focused on the empowerment of women entrepreneurs, and serves on the Board of Directors of DayOne Response, Inc. and Cissé Trading Co. She was also a member of the second New York cohort of Pipeline Angels. Passionate about advancing women’s rights on a global scale, Kellee provides operations counsel to social enterprises and startup companies, is a mentor for International House-NY’s Women’s International Leadership program, and serves as a judge for the New York Public Library & Citi Foundation’s StartUP! Business Plan Competition. Kellee has a diverse professional career as an entrepreneur and in digital media and governmental affairs. Most recently, she was co-founder and managing director of Integrative Pet Care in Chicago, a veterinary hospital specializing in rehabilitation for companion and service animals. Prior to that she was vice president of product development for the digital content syndication company GolfServ/Golf.com. Kellee’s governmental affairs background includes operating IMPAC, the political action committee of the Illinois State Medical Society, as well as managing the US Chamber of Commerce legislative briefing center in Washington, DC. Kellee holds a BA in Communications Arts and Sciences from Pennsylvania State University. She is an avid international traveler, but currently resides in New York City with her husband and oversized dog.
