Mitzi Chang, a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department and a member of its Technology Companies, Private Equity and IP Transactions & Strategies Groups, represents clients in a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and other general corporate and securities matters, as well as in intellectual property transactional and commercial matters. She joined Goodwin Procter in 2008. Ms. Chang has represented public and private companies, investment banks and private equity funds in her practice in a variety of industries, including technology, life sciences and media. She also has substantial intellectual property transactional experience within the digital media, online services, advertising and entertainment space. Ms. Chang is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of California. Ms. Chang is a co-author of the article “Health Care Compliance and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act,” 2004 Health Law and Compliance Update, Ch. 3, Aspen (2004). Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Ms. Chang was a senior counsel at CBS Interactive Inc. (formerly CNET Networks, Inc.) from 2005-2008, where she advised and supported the company’s Games, Music & Lifestyle and TV Entertainment divisions in their business-related matters as well as the company in its acquisitions, securities-related and other corporate matters. From 2002-2005, she was an associate in the corporate department of the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins LLP. Ms. Chang is admitted to practice in California and holds a BA from the University of California Berkley (magna cum laude) and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
